Our IT help desk provides remote support via phone and ticketing system for everyday issues including password resets, email and Microsoft 365 problems, printer and peripheral troubleshooting, software installation and errors, network connectivity, and slow computer performance. We also dispatch technicians on-site for hardware failures, network issues, and anything that can't be fixed remotely.
How fast is your IT help desk response time?
Most tickets receive a response within minutes during business hours. Remote troubleshooting typically begins within the hour. For urgent issues โ server down, employee locked out of critical system โ we treat these as emergencies and prioritize immediate response. We also offer emergency after-hours support for critical incidents.
Can employees contact the help desk directly, or does everything go through a manager?
Employees can contact our help desk directly by phone or through a support portal โ whichever is easiest. This eliminates the bottleneck of IT requests routing through a manager. We can also configure permissions so that managers get visibility into open tickets while employees get fast, direct access to support.
Is your help desk staffed by local technicians or outsourced overseas?
Our help desk is staffed locally โ we're based in the East Bay. When you call, you reach a technician who knows your environment, speaks clearly, and can dispatch someone to your office the same day if needed. We don't route calls to overseas support centers.
Do I need managed IT services to use your help desk, or can I get help desk support only?
Help desk support is included in all CMIT managed IT plans, but we can also provide help desk support on a standalone basis. Standalone help desk can be per-incident or under a retainer agreement.
